An alternative process of timeless poetry.
Cyanotype is one of the oldest photographic techniques, invented by Sir John Herschel in 1842. It relies on the UV sensitivity of a mixture of two iron salts — potassium ferricyanide and ferric ammonium citrate — brushed onto a surface, usually paper or fabric.
When the coated surface is exposed to the sun with a negative or plants placed directly on it, UV light reacts with the chemistry and reveals that intense, characteristic Prussian blue. The print is then simply rinsed in clean water to fix the image permanently.
Every piece is unique, shaped by the day's sunlight, the texture of the chosen paper and the artist's hand. That is the magic of this technique: an image unlike any other.
I run cyanotype workshops open to everyone, beginners and curious minds alike. In a small group or a private session, you will learn to prepare your own light-sensitive sheets, compose your image — with plants, objects or your own photos — and reveal your creation under the French Riviera sun.
These workshops are a chance to reconnect with photography in its most handcrafted form, to slow down, to look at light differently and to leave with a unique artwork made with your own hands.
Perfect for a creative moment with friends or family, for team building or as an original gift — workshops take place in Antibes and the surrounding area, on request.
« Every print is a conversation with light —
an image born of sun, water and time. »

Cyanotype is a historic photographic technique that uses sunlight and iron salts to print images on paper or fabric. Invented in 1842, it is known for its distinctive Prussian blue and its handcrafted look. Every cyanotype print is an original artwork that can never be reproduced identically.
I run cyanotype workshops in Antibes and on the French Riviera, open to all levels. As a group, with family or in a private session, discover the magic of this handcrafted process and leave with your own unique creation. A perfect creative activity or unusual gift on the Côte d'Azur.
Looking for an original creative activity on the French Riviera? I host cyanotype workshops for all ages and occasions: children's and adults' birthdays, hen parties, family gatherings and corporate team building.
Would you like an original cyanotype? I create handmade pieces to order — portraits, botanicals, landscapes — on paper or fabric. Contact me to find out more.
Alongside the workshops, I am a photographer in Antibes for families and couples, and an event photographer in Cannes for businesses.
